| Not really a complaint, more of a suggestion. Once all RP's that are currently commencing have finished, maybe we could organize just missions, because I'm going to be completely honest, I am utterly confused when looking at the Halo RP, there is like twelve things going on at once and it is crazy. So what I am suggesting is that we do the layout like this:
Mission 1: The Battle of Arcadia. Mission 2: The Battle of the Forerunner Shield Word. Mission 3: The Battle of Paris IV.
Things like this, I think would be less confusing in my opinion, if we have like one, maybe two at a time, this way would be less confusing. Please take this into consideration and leave some feedback please. Another thing, is that when we start a RP mission we could add a picture of it, or a picture of a city then it would add some kind of backing to it, I do not know, something like this. It is your choice, but I think it would make it that little bit better.

| I personally like this idea. The main problem I'm seeing with it is that it's hard to know when to stop an RP. I mean, we could always start another one, but we have four or five up alread, not including sidestories. But like I said, how do you know when to stop? |

| For me, they end when the objective of the mission (RP) has been met or failed. When the leader or captain, says retreat and such. This is how they end for me. |

| Well, this main RP didn't really have any objective when we started it. It was just a "see how it goes" type thing. |

| Then I do not know then. I mean, the one you and I are in, I think it would end were you find and kill the people who made you, or something. All missions need an ending. It depends, once all current ones have ended we could do them like this, who knows? |

| Yea, i was thinking of ending it once I killed all the peeps and then went back to the Shield World. So, I mean, we could easily do it that way, it's just a matter of trying to swap them over. |

| Paar, not all RP's have objectives or are missions. A Roleplay is a story or a number of stories within one place. Roleplays are free places for people to express they're creativity and ideas and to get out of the world for a while. A good Roleplay will not ever end until there is no more story to tell.
It was an okay suggestion. But it doesn't apply to the actual Halo Roleplay right now. Or really any Roleplay. You are thinking too much in military terms.
Sometimes Roleplays could be something as simple as one guy's entire life, told out with other people representing the characters friends and family etc. You couldn't end something like that because there is always more story to branch off to. Even though the main character might die, The roleplay could still continue to tell the storys of his friends and family.
Roleplay is a story. Roleplay is writing Stories. As Tolkein once said in one of his books.
"True Stories Never End, For There Is Always Another Part To Tell" |
