Banshees were spirits that were trapped say...half-way between Living and Dead. They couldn't act upon the world, like move things, only talk. But, even then, their speech was very soft. Those are ghosts before banshees. Banshees are what are created when a ghost haunts a place, and has lost itself to despair and anger. All it can do is scream, which is easily heard. It was said that they would burst from the walls of a home screaming and flying around, causing havoc. Their scream was said to be able to cause unconsciousness, bleeding, and in some cases, ruptured ears. I managed to recreate that scream, on accident originally.

No, no. I was on a planet, and I had a forerunner suit. A gift from a friend. I asked for a Banshee, as in the flying machine so I could take down a Covenant base. The suit thought I meant the spirit. So it did the Scream. I managed to turn it off, and, once I got my armor back. I replicated that program over to this armor.
